Matthew Kreger

Matthew joined SCS Financial as part of its acquisition of Lake Street Advisors in 2025 and is a Managing Director of Operations & Analytics. Prior to joining SCS, Matthew was the Chief Compliance Officer & Director of Client Operations at Lake Street Advisors.

Matthew has experience in developing a centralized Operations Team, enhancing and streamlining client operational strategies, and overseeing key operational relationships and initiatives. Matthew joined Lake Street in 2015 as an Operations Analyst, advancing to Director of Client Operations in 2019. In 2024, he was appointed the role of Chief Compliance Officer, coordinating and overseeing the firm’s compliance program.

Prior to joining Lake Street, Matthew was a Supervisor on the Complex Accounting and Administration Group at Bank of New York Mellon (BNYM). There he was primarily focused on managing a team that provided daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations, in addition to overseeing the reporting and accounting records for an established credit hedge fund based in New York. Matthew spent the first eight years of his career at BNYM before joining Lake Street, where he brings a passion for developing solutions that address operational inefficiencies.

Matthew was born in Cadillac, Michigan, and later lived in Virginia and New Jersey before settling with his parents and two brothers in Manchester, NH. He attended Bentley College, where he earned his BS in finance. Matthew and his wife, Jessica, reside in Eliot, ME. They enjoy spending time with their two amazing children, Hudson and Gracelynn, and their loving dog, Striper. If not spending time with his family, you might run into Matthew at his favorite local golf courses, restaurants, or parks. Matthew is also a fervent University of Michigan fan.
